Therapy Rates

I charge $250 per 50-minute session. In certain circumstances, you may qualify for a sliding fee. Please note that all services are telehealth at this time. Sessions will be conducted via a HIPAA-compliant video platform.

Due to state licensing regulations, I am only able to work with people currently located in California.

Accepted Payments

I accept payment via cash, check, debit or credit card, HSA or FSA card. Payment is due at the beginning of each session.

Out-of-Network Billing

I do not accept insurance at this time. If your insurance plan has out-of-network benefits, you can often be reimbursed a substantial percentage of service fees after the deductible is satisfied—consult your insurance plan for specifics. I can offer a superbill or itemized receipt with appropriate details for you to request reimbursement from your insurance carrier.

Questions to Ask Your Insurance

Services may be covered fully or partially by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health benefits?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • How many sessions per year does my insurance cover?

  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

  • Is approval required from a primary care physician?

I am happy to provide all the documentation for clients to obtain reimbursement. We can talk about your insurance questions during our phone consultation.

Good Faith Estimates Notice

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
